Roaster Notes:

"Tablon El Tempisque is a lot that is part of El Majahual, which is part of a larger farm that was divided some years back. It’s located in the western part of the country in the Los Narnjos area- the volcanic soil and alititiude of the area lends to excellent growing conditions. Tempisque is near the top of the farm (Majahual itself averges 1500 meters in altitude) and any higher coffee doesn’t produce due to cold air and cloud cover. It is a traditional farm, and has many 50 to 80 year old Bourbon trees. There is a minority percentage of Pacas variety trees too , which is a local type of Bourbon."

While these coffees do not carry a Fair Trade certification, they fall under our importer’s Farm Gate buying program that is guaranteed to pay 50% above FT minimums, but are often times 100% or more.
